As part of the package for being the Best New Artiste of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, the “Kwaku The Traveler” hitmaker was supposed to perform at the Ghana Party In The Party concert.
Unfortunately, due to some circumstances, the musician was unable to make it to the show. Robert Klah, an entertainment personality has explained why Black Sherif was opted out of the list of musicians to perform at the event.
Speaking on the Daybreak Hitz segment with Sammy Forson on Hitz FM, Robert stated that he was informed by Blacko’s team that the time for the performance was not favorable or was not in alignment with their schedules, hence they opted out.
He said that the nature of the contract was drafted in a way that should any artiste within the Best New Artiste category is unable to make it to he show, they would look for another artiste within the same category to perform.
He added that even after they agreed to work with another musician as replacement for Black Sherif. the duration for the processing of the visa for the second artiste was difficult hence they had to boycott that and go with the ones on board.
