Award-winning singer and songwriter Tems has opened up on how she felt working with Beyonce on the hit song ‘Move’ off her Renaissance album and meeting Rihanna in an exclusive interview with GQ magazine.
Tems described working with Beyonce as an iconic experience, one she would never forget as it made up the best part of her year (2022); she discusses the uncertainty that hovered around the collaboration till it had been officially released. Tems, in the interview, stated:
“You’re never really sure until it comes out. And it wasn’t something that I was focused on [or] keeping track of.”
Tems doesn’t close off the possibility of shooting a music video for the song as she also added:
“Of course it means something to me. If someone told my five-year-old self listening to Destiny’s Child that one day you’re going to have a song with one of them, I might just be confused.”
Tems also opened up on meeting Rihanna at the Savage X Fenty show in Los Angeles, where she had been given a word of advice by Rihana herself. She revealed:
“She (Rihanna) was like, ‘You need to be that bitch you know you are.’”
