Onuachu was expected to leave Belgian Pro League outfit, Genk last summer after a remarkable campaign that saw him score 33 goals in 38 league outings for the Smurfs.
Genk however kept their talisman and he emerged as their top scorer for the second consecutive season.
The striker netted 23 goals and recorded three assists in 43 appearances last season.
According to Turkish news outlet, Fotomac, Besiktas new manager Valerin Ismael has identified Onuachu as the man to lead his team’s attack.
Onuachu has also been linked with several top European clubs including Atletico Madrid, Lazio, and Fiorentina.
The 28-year-old joined Genk from Danish club FC Midtylland in 2019.
